Hartsfield‑Jackson International Airport alone recorded 2.58″ on Wednesday, contributing to a three-day total hovering near 4″. The National Weather Service has extended a Flash Flood Watch across metro Atlanta through tonight, as saturated soils continue to worsen flooding risks. 🚗 Roads, Power, and Rescues Flooded streets shut down key thoroughfares in Sandy Springs, Cobb, and Fulton counties. One driver became stranded on Meridian Mark Road, prompting emergency crews to wade into water to assist. Approximately 500 Georgia Power customers reported outages, with fallen trees and flooded roads affecting crews’ ability to restore service FOX 5 Atlanta. In Vinings (Cobb County), a woman was rescued from her van by emergency personnel after floodwaters reached vehicle level.
