Exploring Buckhead: Food, Community, and a Walkable Lifestyle

Join us as we dive into the vibrant culture of Buckhead!

Stepping onto the red carpet at the Taste of Buckhead, I had the pleasure of chatting with Acie, a local resident and enthusiastic attendee.

The Heart of Buckhead

Acie shared her excitement for this annual event, highlighting how it fosters a sense of community. "I love discovering new restaurants and running into neighbors I haven't seen in a while," she noted. For her, it's not just about the food; it’s about the connections made and the joy of experiencing the neighborhood's culinary delights.

A Taste of Change

This year, Acie noticed the presence of liquor distributors at the event, which added a new element to her experience. She expressed her enthusiasm for the familiar favorites, particularly Palms and Fogo de Chão, but also welcomed the chance to explore new offerings.

"You give me food, drinks, music, and people, I'm happy!"

Her love for events shines through, as she revels in the combination of good food, lively music, and socializing.

The Buckhead Lifestyle

As a native of Atlanta, Acie appreciates the walkable lifestyle Buckhead offers. During the pandemic, she took advantage of her neighborhood by walking to local stores like Target and Kroger daily. She emphasized how important it is for her to live in a place where she can easily access amenities without relying on a car.

"I prefer a shorter commute and a vibrant lifestyle. I like to do things most nights of the week," she said, reflecting on the lifestyle choice that comes with living in such a dynamic area.

Final Thoughts

As we wrapped up our conversation, Acie left us with a simple piece of advice:

"Buy a ticket and come next year!"

In a city rich with options, the Taste of Buckhead stands out as a celebration of community, exploration, and the joy of local culture. Join us next year to experience it for yourself!
