Who is  Mychel “Snoop” Dillard

The ATL Now

ATLANTA Inside of the  Escobar Restaurant & Tapas Lounge in downtown Atlanta, The ATL Now sat down for an exclusive interview with Atlanta entrepreneur and restaurateur Mychel “Snoop” Dillard to discuss business, personal challenges, and the powerful experiences that continue to shape her journey.

Known for building some of Atlanta’s most recognizable restaurants and nightlife destinations, Dillard has become a prominent figure in the city’s hospitality industry. During the conversation, she spoke openly about the path that led her to success and the life lessons that continue to drive her forward.

Building a Hospitality Brand in Atlanta

As the CEO of
Dillard Hospitality Group, Dillard has helped create several successful venues that attract locals, celebrities, and visitors alike. Her flagship venue, Escobar, has become one of Atlanta’s most talked-about dining and nightlife destinations.

During the interview, she explained that creating a successful business requires more than just a good concept.

“It’s about the experience,” Dillard said. “When people walk in, they should feel the energy, the culture, and the passion behind what you’re building.”

Opening Up About Personal Loss

One of the most emotional moments of the conversation came when Dillard spoke about the heartbreaking loss of her daughter. She shared how that experience profoundly changed her life and forced her to see the world through a different lens.

Despite the pain, she said the tragedy strengthened her resolve to continue moving forward and to live with purpose.

“It changed me forever,” she explained. “But it also reminded me how important it is to keep going and keep building something meaningful.”

Her Reality Show and New Book

Dillard also spoke about expanding her brand beyond the restaurant industry. She discussed her reality television show, Snooping for Love, which gives audiences a closer look at her personal life, relationships, and the challenges of balancing business and fame.

She also revealed details about her two-part book titled Who Is Snoop, a deeply personal project that explores the experiences that shaped her life.

The first part of the book, “Strength: Navigating Obstacles, Overcoming Pain,” focuses on resilience and the challenges she faced throughout her journey as an entrepreneur and mother.

The second part, “Grief, Grow and Go,” reflects on loss, healing, and finding the strength to continue moving forward despite life’s most difficult moments.

Through the book, Dillard hopes readers will gain insight into her personal story while also finding inspiration in the message of perseverance and growth.

Advice for Future Entrepreneurs

When asked what advice she would give to aspiring entrepreneurs, Dillard emphasized the importance of staying focused and believing in your vision.

“Nothing about this journey is easy,” she said. “But if you stay committed and keep pushing forward, you can create something powerful.”

A Story Still Being Written

As the interview concluded inside Escobar, one thing was clear: Mychel “Snoop” Dillard’s story is far from finished. From building a thriving hospitality brand to sharing her life experiences through television and publishing, she continues to expand her influence across Atlanta and beyond.

With new ventures underway and a powerful personal story to tell, Snoop Dillard remains one of the city’s most compelling entrepreneurial voices.
