Filmmaker, creative producer and ANGELW86 Studio founder Yining “Angel” Wang is building a multidisciplinary creative practice that brings cinematic storytelling, design, strategy and emerging technology together.

Yining “Angel” Wang is a filmmaker, creative producer and multidisciplinary storyteller whose work crosses the worlds of film, photography, branding, design and creative strategy.

With experience spanning more than 400 creative projects, Wang has developed a body of work that combines cinematic storytelling with visual communication and cross-platform content production.

Her experience includes collaborations with institutions such as Harvard Art Museums, Harvard Graduate School of Design, the American Museum of Natural History and MoMA, along with commercial clients including Toshiba and Monograph.

From Film to Multidisciplinary Storytelling

Wang’s creative background extends well beyond traditional filmmaking.

Her work encompasses film production, photography, editing, color grading, brand storytelling and digital campaigns. She also incorporates interdisciplinary design and emerging creative technologies into her approach to contemporary visual storytelling.

That ability to work across multiple creative disciplines has become an important part of her identity as a creator.

Whether behind the camera, developing a visual concept or shaping the strategy surrounding a project, Wang approaches storytelling as an experience that extends across platforms and audiences.

An Education Built Around Storytelling and Design

Wang holds a Master of Design Studies in Narratives from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film & Video with a minor in Art History from Pratt Institute.

Her combination of film, design and art history provides a foundation for work that examines not only how stories are created, but also how audiences experience them.

Working across both English and Mandarin, Wang's projects frequently explore culture, identity, atmosphere and audience engagement within global and cross-cultural environments.

Through ANGELW86 Studio LLC, Wang is bringing those disciplines together under one creative platform.

The studio develops cinematic and strategy-driven creative work combining narrative, design and technology with the goal of creating visually compelling and emotionally resonant experiences.
