In celebration of Filipino American History Month (FAHM), Uptown Atlanta came alive with color, rhythm, and community spirit as BAYANIHAN FEST 2025 welcomed hundreds to a day of cultural pride and unity. Hosted by the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Georgia, this free, family-friendly event showcased the richness of Filipino heritage through music, dance, food, and art — all under the banner of “Bayanihan,” the Filipino tradition of communal unity and cooperation.

🎤 On the Ground with Mark Arnold

Mark Arnold, editor of The ATL Now, was on-site capturing the energy and emotion of the day. From interviews with local Filipino entrepreneurs to spotlighting traditional performances, Arnold’s coverage highlighted the festival’s deeper message: that Atlanta’s diversity is its strength, and cultural celebrations like BAYANIHAN FEST are vital threads in the city’s civic fabric.

“This isn’t just a festival — it’s a living story of resilience, joy, and shared identity,” Arnold noted. “Atlanta thrives when we lift up every voice, and today, the Filipino community reminded us how powerful that can be.”

🍽️ Flavors, Rhythms, and Stories

Visitors indulged in authentic Filipino dishes — from sizzling sisig to sweet halo-halo — while local artisans offered handcrafted goods and cultural keepsakes. The stage pulsed with traditional dances and modern Filipino pop, bridging generations and genres.

🤝 Community in Action

The event also served as a platform for Filipino-owned businesses, nonprofit initiatives, and youth organizations, reinforcing the spirit of Bayanihan through collaboration and outreach. Volunteers, performers, and vendors worked side by side to create an inclusive space where everyone felt welcome.
