Belle Alolong: Where Culture Meets Cuisine in Savannah
By Mark Arnold | The ATL Now

A Culinary Entrepreneur Creating Spaces of Connection, Heritage, and Heart

In the heart of Savannah, Georgia, Belle Alolong is redefining what it means to dine with purpose. As the founder of Silk Route Restaurant & Lounge and The Narra Tree, Belle has built more than restaurants—she’s built sanctuaries for storytelling, celebration, and cultural pride.

Silk Route Restaurant & Lounge: A Global Experience

Inspired by the ancient trade routes that connected East and West, Silk Route offers a bold fusion of Mediterranean and Asian flavors. Located in Savannah’s midtown district, the restaurant is a sensory journey—where curated cocktails, elegant interiors, and vibrant music create an atmosphere of connection and celebration.

Belle’s vision for Silk Route is clear: “I wanted it to feel like a journey. Not just through food, but through culture, energy, and shared experience.”

The Narra Tree: Filipino Soul in Every Bite

Just across town, The Narra Tree blooms with Filipino heritage. Named after the Philippines’ national tree, the restaurant is Belle’s tribute to her roots. Guests are welcomed like family and treated to authentic dishes like lumpia, adobo, and pancit, all served with a side of karaoke, laughter, and community spirit.

“Narra is my love letter to the Philippines,” Belle says. “It’s where we celebrate who we are and invite others to join us.”

A Mission Rooted in Purpose

Belle’s entrepreneurial journey is driven by more than flavor—it’s fueled by a desire to build spaces where people feel seen, heard, and connected. Her restaurants host cultural events, fundraisers, and storytelling nights that bring Savannah’s diverse communities together.

Whether she’s curating a new dish or mentoring young creatives, Belle leads with heart. Her spaces reflect her values: authenticity, generosity, and joy.

Looking Ahead

With both restaurants thriving and her impact growing, Belle Alolong continues to expand her mission of meaningful hospitality. Her story is one of resilience, creativity, and cultural pride—a reminder that food can be a bridge, a balm, and a beacon.

In Savannah, Belle isn’t just feeding people. She’s feeding connection. And the city is better for it.
