The ATL Now Covers Rohadfox Corporation's 50th Anniversary Celebration: A Legacy of Leadership, Impact & Community
ATLANTA, GA — The ATL Now was honored to attend and cover the red carpet and milestone celebration of Rohadfox Corporation's 50th Anniversary, an evening that celebrated five decades of excellence, leadership, innovation, and community impact.
Held in Atlanta under the theme "50 Shades of Blue," the event brought together an impressive gathering of civic leaders, transportation executives, business professionals, community advocates, and industry partners to recognize one of the nation's oldest minority-owned construction and program management firms.
Guests arrived dressed in elegant shades of blue, symbolizing trust, loyalty, stability, wisdom, and reliability—qualities that have defined Rohadfox Corporation throughout its remarkable 50-year journey. The evening served as both a celebration of the company's history and a reflection on the relationships and partnerships that have fueled its success since its founding in 1976.
The red carpet welcomed a distinguished lineup of leaders including Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, Georgia Department of Transportation Commissioners Dana Lemon and Stacey Key, Atlanta City Council members Marcia Collier Overstreet, Byron Amos, and Andrea Boone, Union City Mayor Vince R. Williams, Commissioners Neat Robinson and Carlotta Harrell, and transportation executive Keith Parker.
One of the evening's most memorable moments came during the formal program when the City of Atlanta officially proclaimed May 15 as "Joy Rohadfox Day," recognizing Rohadfox Corporation CEO Joy Rohadfox for her leadership, industry contributions, and dedication to creating opportunities throughout the community.
Mayor Dickens highlighted Rohadfox Corporation's lasting contributions to Atlanta's infrastructure and transportation landscape, emphasizing the company's role in helping shape the city's growth while opening doors for future generations.
Reflecting on the milestone, Joy Rohadfox shared a heartfelt message about the company's journey and the people who made it possible.
"Fifty years is not simply a milestone—it is a testament to faith, fortitude, and the relationships that carried us here," she said. "This celebration honors my father's founding vision, the employees who built alongside him, and the partners and clients who believed in us when doors were not always open."
Beyond the celebration, Rohadfox Corporation demonstrated its commitment to giving back through its "Step Forward with Rohadfox" initiative, donating more than 600 pairs of shoes to Atlanta Mission. The initiative reflects the company's belief that building infrastructure and building stronger communities go hand in hand.
"Shoes represent more than necessity," Joy Rohadfox explained. "They symbolize movement, dignity, and forward progress."
Today, Rohadfox Corporation stands as a global, woman-owned and women-led firm specializing in construction and program management, with a portfolio that includes major aviation, transportation, and infrastructure projects across the United States.
As The ATL Now observed throughout the evening, the celebration was about more than marking 50 years in business. It was a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished through vision, perseverance, partnership, and a commitment to serving others.
Congratulations to Joy Rohadfox, the Rohadfox Corporation team, and everyone who has contributed to this extraordinary legacy. The next chapter promises to be just as impactful as the first fifty years.
